Avi Palvari, from Kiryat Shmona in northern Israel, grew up with Israeli folk dancing. Since qualifying as a folk dance instructor in Israel he has taught Israeli dancing at workshops and camps in the USA and in Europe. Since the end of 1989 he lives in Stuttgart, Germany, where he organizes several dance workshops every year. In addition, he is regularly invited to teach Israeli folk dancing in other cities in Germany and Europe. He offers a broad spectrum of dances, ranging from the older, traditional dances to the latest and most up-to-date. Israeli folk dancing encompasses a number of genres, and Avi brings a selection of these styles to his workshops, together with background information about the dances, the texts and his native Israel.
With his charismatic personality he is able to engage dancers of all levels and convey to them the vibrancy of Israeli culture as expressed through dance. He captures the energy and the spirit of the dances, and his workshops are always a fun experience.
